The 'how' of Business Analysis is undergoing a shift. 

For the past 20 years or so, Business Analysts have functioned in what I'll call a document-driven environment.  Consider how you usually gather requirements.  You start out with a series of meetings, followed by creating a functional requirements document, followed by cycles of revisions, track changes, and document versions.  After a lot of hard work, the end result is a document that may or may not capture all your requirements.

Thankfully, new tools and a shift in approach allow us to do a much better job.

Instead of that 50-page document, why not create an interactive prototype that more accurately captures your requirements? Something that users can see and interact with. What about testing? Consider making an automated test suite to reduce your testing time and ensure compliance.  

I'm probably not telling you anything new here. Chances are you've seen jobs asking for skills in Balsamiq, Infusion, Automated Testing, or Data Analysis.
